EXPO 2020

The Expo 2020 is scheduled to be held in Dubai from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022 and has been billed as The Greatest Show on Earth. It promises to be the biggest trade event in the world of business.
The last Expo was held in Milan during 2015, and the next one will be at Osaka in 2025.

At the Expo 2020, there are three themes – Opportunity, Sustainability, and Mobility. When Phase 5 of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai is commissioned to coincide with the Expo 2020, it will become the largest solar power source in the world and support the Sustainability theme. Countries like Germany, Brazil, and Canada have signed up to be a part of the Sustainability theme, while France, France, the United States of America, and Finland have decided to be a part of the Mobility theme.

The United Arab Emirates, for its part, has chosen to be part of the Opportunity theme. Other countries which are also part of the Opportunity theme are Japan, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. A massive 192 countries will be represented at Expo 2020 by participants from every area of trade and commerce there is.
The venue is spread over an impressive 1080 acres, and Dubai has announced several projects that will be ready in time for the Expo 2020. For instance, the Dubai Happiness Agenda, which aims to make Dubai the happiest city in the world, comprises of 82 different projects, all of which come together to accomplish the aforesaid objective.
If you or your business can identify with any of the themes of Opportunity, Sustainability, or Mobility, then you should be part of Expo 2020.

At the Expo 2020, you could meet participants from across the globe and forge business alliances that prove to be rewarding in both the short term as well as the long term. It is also an opportunity for other participants or visitors to find you, know more about your company, and offer you business deals that work out to your advantage.

Dubai is already a city where a lot of trade expositions and international conferences happen. Business deals worth millions of dollars are struck in Dubai, and the Expo 2020 only plans to do that on a much bigger scale – a scale never witnessed before. In fact, the International Monetary Fund estimates that Dubai’s GDP will rise with Expo 2020.

What Can You Do to Be a Part of Expo 2020?

You can register for the Expo 2020 as a participant from your own country, or you could set up a company in the United Arab Emirates and represent the UAE.
Having a company in the United Arab Emirates and representing the UAE makes sense if you want to secure lucrative business deals and/or forge fruitful partnerships.
In the world of international business, there is always a question at the back of the mind of every businessman or businesswoman – Can the other party hold his/her end of the deal? Because companies can be held legally accountable only in their respective countries of origin, it becomes a headache if they don’t honour their commitments.
An address in the UAE exudes confidence, as the United Arab Emirates is a country where the laws are strictly enforced. The authorities swing into action as so much as the slightest complaint, and so the law is taken seriously here. The judicial system is exceptionally strong, and a company based in the United Arab Emirates is unlikely to do anything wrong for fear of strict legal sanctions against the company and its owners. Because of this, companies based in the United Arab Emirates are seen as trustworthy, and people from other countries willingly do business with UAE-based companies.
The United Arab Emirates ranks first in the Middle East region and fifth worldwide when it comes to law enforcement, according the Justice Project’s Rule of Law Index.

If you establish your company in time for the Expo 2020, you could enter into business deals with companies from around the world. If you already have a company in another country, you can open a Representative Office or a Branch Office in the United Arab Emirates to take advantage of all that Expo 2020 offers.
