Cost of Business Setup in Ajman Media City Free Zone
The cost of licensing depends on the type of business activity that is proposed to be undertaken, as well as the number of visas that are needed. The general rule of thumb is that the more the number of business activities, the higher will be the cost of the Trade License. Similarly, the more the number of visas required, the higher will be the cost.
Documents required for Company setup in Ajman Media City Free Zone
You can establish your company as a FZE or Free Zone Establishment, meaning there is only one business owner. Or a FZC or Free Zone Company in case there is more than one owner for the business establishment. Alternatively, you could also establish a company as a Branch of a Foreign Company or Branch of a GCC company, in which case another company – referred to as the parent company – would be the owner of the company incorporated in the Ajman Media City Free Zone.

How to Get Ajman Media City Free Zone Visa
If you are not in the United Arab Emirates at the time of company incorporation*, then you need to submit the following documents to get an Entry Visa.
- Copy of Trade License
- Copy of Establishment Card
- Two passport-size photographs that meet the UAE’s visa photo requirements
- Three recent passport-size photographs, showing the person against a white background
- Educational Certificate duly attested by the UAE Consulate in one’s Country of Residence
*The process can be completed through your legal representative in the country, who has been duly authorized to do so through a Power of Attorney document signed by you.
Once you receive your Entry Visa, you can legally enter the United Arab Emirates, complete your medical fitness test at a government-approved health center in the United Arab Emirates, and upgrade to an investor visa.

In the United Arab Emirates, an Emirates ID is essential if you want to rent housing or apply for a driver’s license, in addition to applying for a telephone and/or internet connection. It serves as proof that you are a legal resident of the United Arab Emirates.
Liquidation of Ajman Media City Free Zone Company
At some times, companies may choose to cease operations, such as following the unfortunate death of the business owner or due to financial constraints. Or because the primary objective behind company formation has been met and there is no reason to continue with business operations anymore. In such cases, it is important that the company be formally liquidated, so that it officially ceases to exist.
The liquidation can be carried out by the owner or a legal representative who is empowered to do so through Power of Attorney.
All company documents issued by the Ajman Media City Free Zone must be returned to the Ajman Media City Free Zone Authority, and in case any documents have been irretrievably lost, a police complaint must be filed to this effect. The Ajman Media City Free Zone Authority charges AED 1,800 for company liquidation, and it takes about a month to be completed.
- All visas issued to the company stand cancelled
- The Establishment Card issued to the company by Ajman Media City Free Zone stands cancelled
- The Lease Agreement and Tenancy Contract stands terminated
- The Trade License of the company stands invalidated
- Any refundable deposits made will be duly returned
